Obituary of Jeanne B Ronan

Jeanne B. Ronan 97 of Somers NY formerly of Brooklyn, died Tuesday May 21st at Calvary Hospital.

Born on February 11, 1922, Jeanne was the 6th of 7 children born to Thomas and Mary Jane (O’Neill) Gaffney .

She was a proud graduate of Bishop McDonnell High School in Brooklyn NY.  She graduated Mercy Junior College with Secretarial Degree.  She worked for a Vice President of Union Carbide in NYC.

Jeanne is the loving mother to Monica of Somers, NY, Maura (Larry) Olson of Briarcliff Manor, NY.  Mother in law to Maureen Ronan of Stamford Ct.  She is the devoted Nana to Seamus, Annie, Brendan, Maeve, Peter and Katie.

She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her son Mark, her brothers Arthur, Terence and Thomas, as well as her sisters Mary, Margaret and Eileen. 

Jeanne lived her life sharing love, kindness, compassion and forgiveness.  In her owns words, “I have had a good life and I have no regrets”.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s RC Church.  95 Plumb Brook Rd. Somers, NY on Tuesday May 28th at 11:30 AM.  Internment with follow at St. Josephs Cemetery Somers NY.
