Obituary of Ansley Smith

Ansley Smith, 81, of Ossining, NY, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 with her family by her side.

She resided at Drum Hill Senior Residence in Peekskill for three years.

Ansley was the eldest daughter of Adolphus and Edith Williams. She attended Mary Immaculate High School. Ansley later married and raised three children with Edward W. Smith (deceased) and was a loving grandmother to nine grandchildren.

She served as the administrator of the St. Matthew’s Daycare Center in Ossining. She retired as Graduate Registrar of Pace University. Ansley will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, wisdom, grace and style.

She is survived by her children, Gwynne Meacham, Laurie Brown (Adrian), Michael Smith (Chrissy); her sisters, Janice Williams and JoAnn Williams, eight grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

A wake will take place on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd, Katonah, NY.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Assumption Church, 920 1^st Street, Peekskill on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

She will be interred at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org/en/)
