Obituary of John J. Keating

John J. Keating, 89, longtime resident of Katonah passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 29, 2019. Born in Rathkeale, County Limerick, Ireland, in 1930 to John Keating and Bridget Meade, John grew up working on a farm and emigrated to the US in 1951 where he worked as a carpenter for many years. He was known for his love of laughter and always enjoyed a good hamburger with his family. John is predeceased by his loving wife Teresa Keating and survived by his beloved children John Keating, Bridget Talty, Mike Keating, Kathy Ryan and Denis Keating. He is also survived by ten grandchildren who adored him: Bailey, Caiti-Erin, Mary, Rose, Colin, Brenna, Camryn, AJ, Nora and Jack. Calling hours will be at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road on Thursday, January 2nd from 6pm-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY on Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Mount Kisco, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
