Obituary of Anthony Joseph DiMauro
Anthony Joseph DiMauro, 94, died on March 3rd in Mt. Kisco, NY. He was a resident of Purdys for over 55 years.
Anthony was born in Bedford, NY, July 6, 1925 to Joseph and Anna DiMauro. He graduated from the Bedford School District and later served in US Army from 1943 to 1946 during WW II in which he was awarded the Purple Heart.
Anthony was a member of the Italian American Club in Brewster, an associate member of the Bedford Village Fire Department, and a member of the Local 456 Teamster’s Union until his retirement.
He was a loving husband and devoted grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; Son, Tony (wife Nancy) of Amawalk, NY; daughter, Karen (husband Kenny Clair) of Brewster, NY; and grandchildren, Madison Clair, Morgan Clair, Anthony DiMauro and Alexis DiMauro.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6th from 4:00 - 8:00pm
at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7th at 9:15 am
at St. Joseph's RC Church,95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY 10589.
Interment will follow at Ivandell Cemetery, Route 202, Somers, NY 10589.
