Dear Pat, Jane, Jill, and families, my heart aches for you in your profound loss. Tom has been a friend since he started dating Pat in high school, always a kind and caring gentleman with a love for life. My childhood neighbor/best friend Pat was a stalwart source of friendship and information-sharing throughout all of our school years, and although we didn't see each other as often as we would have liked in the intervening years, whenever we met again, it was as though it had only been a short time. I treasure the reunions we have shared of late, and especially the most recent when we both shared concerns for our husbands. It is sad that we have both lost the "love of our life" having cared for them till the end. No doubt in our minds that it was worth every effort to take on that role. Words seem so inadequate at this time, but, Pat and daughters, please know that I feel deep sympathy for your loss, May your hubby and dad rest in peace in the arms of Jesus, watching over you and protecting you from above. Love to you all, and I will be there when you plan dad's memorial. Be strong in your faith, and God be with you... Love, Julie
