Obituary of Violet Holmes

Violet M. Holmes, “Vi” 87 of South Salem New York formally of Irvington New York, died Saturday, May 23, 2020 at home.

Violet was born on May 28, 1932 in Mount Pleasant New York to the late Ellen and Louis Kuchenmeister. Violent graduated from Alexander Hamilton high school in Elmsford New York.

She worked as a secretary for Howard Holmes Volkswagen in Elmsford New York. Violet was an office manager of Water Treatment Services in Bedford Hills New York. Violet was a loving, kind, beautiful person with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a resident of South Salem for 50 years.

Violet is the beloved wife of Robert Holmes, and the loving mother of Robert Jr. (Nora) of Lakeville CT, Nancy (Stephen) of Wappingers Falls, NY and Susan (David) of Concord NH.

She was the devoted grandmother of Douglas, Connor, Liam, Kayla, and Alison. Violet was the sister to deceased Edmund Kuchenmeister of Elmsford NY.
