Obituary of Helen Ann Green

 Helen Ann Green, age 92, passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2020 in Edmond, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving children.

She was born October 8,1928, in New York City to Charles & Helen Young. She loved to be called Ann by her close friends and family. 

She lived her early childhood in Bronx, New York and later moved to Belford, New Jersey.

Ann graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University where she met the love of her life, Robert E. Green of Katonah, New York.  They were married in June of 1949.

Ann and Bob raised their family in Goldens Bridge, New York and later retired to Daytona Beach, Florida.  

Ann was a wonderfully devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Throughout her life, she was an active member of the Methodist Church and Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to travel, sketch, sew, read, dance, play the piano, practice Spanish and bake apple pies. She was a master at playing Bridge and Rummikub, loved Jeopardy, and always enjoyed sharing a glass of wine with family and friends.

Ann was predeceased by her loving husband Robert Sr., son Robert Jr., and son-in-law Gregg McNelis.

Ann is survived by son Richard Green and wife Donna Green of Edmond, OK, daughter Susanne McNelis of Ridgefield, CT, and daughter Cynthia Ganung and husband Steven Ganung of Ridgefield, CT, grandchildren Ashley Cook, Nicholas Green, Gregg McNelis Jr., Diana McNelis, Brandon McNelis, Steven Ganung and Tory Ganung, and great grandchildren Gregg III, Isla and Nolan.

A private burial will be held for immediate family at Ivandell Cemetery in Somers, New York. To honor Ann, a Celebration of Life will be planned for 2021.
