Obituary of Dennis Edward Mulcahy

Mulcahy, Dennis Edward, 63, of Cross River, NY, died on May 16th at Westchester Medical Center. Dennis was born in Teaneck, NJ, on October 11, 1952. Dennis was the beloved husband of Lori Ann D’Addario-Mulcahy, and loving father of Lindsey and Hailley Mulcahy. He is survived by his two brothers, Michael and Jim Mulcahy, and his two sisters, Patricia Mulcahy and Trudy Murray, as well as nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Dominican College, receiving a BA in teaching. His first passion in life was equestrian training, and in 1984 his training of “Sheffield” led to his victory at the National Horse Show at Madison Square Garden on their 100th Anniversary. He was a co-owner of New England farm in Greenwich, Connecticut where he produced many top hunters and jumpers. He later shifted his career into the women’s shoe business, but continued judging horse shows throughout his lifetime. He worked for various shoe companies such as Esprit, Sam & Libby, Jazz Shoes, Nine West Group, Vida Shoe Company, etc. Everyone who knew Dennis knew he was a fun-loving man who made friends everywhere he went. He had a lively sense of humor and was adored by his extensive network of friends as well as his family. The family will receive friends on May 22nd from 2-7 PM at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 23rd at 10:00 am at St. Patricks RC Church, 7 Pound Ridge Road, Bedford, NY 10506. Interment will be private.
