There are no words to fathom losing James. Shock and sadness don't go far enough. As parents, we can't help but reflect. Not only on James’s life, but on the lives of our own children, as well. On those that helped them in quiet, ordinary ways. My memories of James are just that. His quiet kindnesses. The selfless and seemingly effortless way he brought joy. Ways in which he probably wasn’t even aware. James played hockey with my daughter, Sarah, on the SMS Modified Hockey team. At the time, Sarah was only one of a few girls playing. She is shy by nature, and playing a sport that is mostly male didn't help. That's where James stepped in. He was welcoming when other teammates were unintentionally dismissive. They might not have noticed, but he did, and he went out of his way to make sure Sarah was included. He trained and worked with her as he would any other teammate. He made a difference in Sarah's life, helping make hockey fun, when it could have just as easily have become a chore. James was all these things, whether he knew it or not. Quiet. Kind. Giving. He will be missed, and the memory of his ordinary kindnesses cherished...at least for us. Rest in peace, sweet boy. Marianne Morea and Family

It was with heartfelt sorrow we heard of James's passing during the week. Our deepest condolences to Jimmy, Eileen and their extended family at this very sad time. James's departure will mean an empty seat at the family dinner table, and the loss of a golfing partner on the links, but as we say in Ireland " To live in the hearts of those we love is not to die ". May James RIP.

We are deeply saddened with the news of James' s passing. So young, so unexpected, so tragic. The loss of a child is the deepest loss a family can endure. There is an old Irish saying that may express what we are feeling: "Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear..." So it will be with James.

James holds a special place in our hearts. He will be sorely missed. James was one of the kindest people our daughter was lucky to call her friend since they were 5 years old. He was polite and funny. He was gifted mechanically, in art and a force to be reckoned with on the golf course. He is very much loved and always will be. Thank you James for being a part of our lives. We love you. With Deepest Sympathy. Love the Mahoods - Nieve, Liam, Helen and William.
