I had the honor of playing football with Frankpeter he was a tremendous player.I remember in an article he praised his off line for his success was never a “me” guy was the ultimate team player. My father was a coach at WCC and gave some of Frankpeter’s film to some college coaches he knew. 30 years later when I saw Frankpeter he said I never forgot what your father did for me. It didn’t seem like a big deal to me but to a Somers Legend it was. Frankpeter was a down to earth guy his greatness as an athlete and a person never went to his head. Even though his time on earth was way to short he made a mark way bigger than most people will make. RIP my friend. My prayers and condolences to the whole Gabriel Family. Greg Johnson.

Dear Gabriel family, I grew up down the street and had the benefit of spending many hours at the Gabriel house. Frankpeter was always a hero to me and I've never seen a better football player. Carolyn, My team and I are so saddened by this and wanted to express our condolences to you and the kids. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and the family. I do remember a golf story from years ago. I was playing golf with Frankpeter and it was pouring cats and dogs and he insisted to keep playing no matter what. Just a little rain he said as there were lakes of water on the greens...He was a hardcore golfer that could play under any circumstances.
