Obituary of Connie Lou Bocklet

Connie Lou Bocklet, 84 years old, a long-time resident of Garden City, NY passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on June 14th, 2021 at Meadow Ridge Community in Redding CT

Born on August 31st1936 in Johnson City NY. Daughter of late Paul & Julia Weaver.

Connie attended SUNY Cortland where she received her teaching degree and where she met her loving husband of 63 years, Charlie Bocklet. She was a devout Catholic and rarely missed church services with her large family in tow.

Spending her summers in Peconic on Eastern Long Island, she would prepare her families favorite dishes which included: a platter of Chicken Divan or a large lasagna, clam dip, and Potato Salad. Connie always had an open door for her friends and family and warmly welcomed many guests. Connie loved spending her winters in Delray Beach FL as well. She could always be found at the beach or by the pool.

Music, dancing and flowers were some of her favorite things.  To hear her laugh brightened a room.  Connie would prefer never to miss a gathering of any type.

Connie was the biggest fan of her sports loving family. She spent countless hours cheering from the bleachers while attending her husband’s and her many children’s games or dance recitals.

Devoted to her family.  Survived by her husband Charles J. Bocklet Jr., Sister Jean Ott, and Brother Paul Weaver.  Mom was wonderfully devoted to her six children: CJ Bocklet III, Michael Barry Bocklet, Kathleen Hersey, Joseph P. Bocklet, Barbara (Bonnie) Bocklet, Connie-Lou Bocklet.

A loving Grandmother to Michael Bocklet Jr., Matthew Bocklet, Robert Hersey, Christopher Bocklet, Austin Hersey, Casey Bocklet, Charles Bocklet IV, Graham Bocklet, Hanna Bocklet, Jonathan Hersey, Cameron Casey, Sam Bocklet, Alexandra (Lexi) Lewis, Julia Casey, Emily Bocklet, and Jack Casey.

A loving Great Grandmother to Lucy Bocklet, Lina Bocklet, James Hersey, Michael Bocklet III, Rose Hersey

Connie will be so greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY.  (Masks Required at Church)
