Obituary of Victoria Lauro
Victoria “Vickie” Lauro, age 101 of Brewster, NY, passed away on September 21, 2021.
Born June 24, 1920 in San Fili, Italy, Vickie was one of seven children born to Frank and Frances (Luchetta) Baratta. She is a sister to Ida DiPalma of Port Chester NY, and the late Vincent Baratta, Yolanda Baratta, Vera Protano, Yola Imbrogno, and Linda Dest. Vickie was a graduate of Port Chester High School.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank A. Lauro and the loving mother of Carol Lauro White (John) of North Salem NY, Deborah Lauro-Conn (Michael) of Brewster NY, and Joyce Lauro Carozza of LaGrangeville NY.
She is the beloved grandmother of Jennifer White Paterson (John), Caitlin Conn Picco (Bobby), and Keara Lauro-Conn. She was predeceased by her grandchild, Amy White in 1987.
She is the devoted great grandmother to Aiden and Peyton Kane.
Vickie’s indomitable spirit allowed her to live at home where she recently celebrated her 101st birthday surrounded by close friends and family. She was an artist at heart who loved to draw, paint, knit, and crochet. She was also an avid reader, who always enjoyed looking forward to the next good book on her Kindle. Her happiest times were spent surrounded by family, cooking for loved ones, tending her beautiful flower garden, and enjoying the beauty of nature.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:00 am at St Josephs RC Church, 95 Plumbrook Road, Somers, NY
Visitation and Interment will be private.
