Obituary of Barbara K. Breuer
Barbara Kane Breuer, 83, a resident of Somers, N.Y. for the past 47 years, passed away Saturday, November 13th in her home.
Barbara was born on July 20, 1938, to the late Thomas and Jean (O’Rourke) Kane in West Hempstead, N.Y. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Robert “Bobby” Breuer on September 5, 1959. Barbara’s faith was very important to her, and she was a longstanding member of St. Patrick’s Church in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. She loved babies (most especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson). She loved animals including her many pet dogs and cats over the years. She was a lover of music, played the piano, and loved to sing. She loved the color yellow.
Barbara was the loving mother of Tim Breuer (Patti Meier Breuer) of Brookfield, CT, Chris Breuer (Julie Guimond Breuer) of New Albany, OH, Wendy Breuer Dewey (Bob Dewey) of New Canaan, CT, and Jen Breuer Baxter (Jack Baxter) of Randolph, NJ. Barbara was the devoted grandmother of T.K. Breuer, Tori Dewey, Lindsey (Dewey) Tommasini (Caleb Tommasini), Jake Breuer, Robby Dewey, Emma Baxter, Cole Breuer, Kane Breuer, Thomas Breuer, Harry Baxter, Griffin Dewey, and Christopher Breuer. She was the proud great-grandmother of Miles Robert Tommasini.
Barbara was predeceased by her brother Tom Kane, brother-in-law Harry “Bud” Breuer, sisters-in-law Fran Breuer and Tina Breuer, and nephew Michael Smith. She was the loving sister of Jean (Kane) Smith, and sister-in-law of Pete Smith, Tony Breuer, and Jane Kane. She leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah, N.Y. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 5:30-7:30 PM.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Stone Church, 188 Church Place
Yorktown Heights, N.Y. on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 11:00 AM.
