While watching the Today show this morning, they were talking about school reunions and I just happen to search for Richard. I was shocked that he had passed. While up at Pleasantville cottage school 1983-1986, Richard was my teacher. A great guy with a big personality. He was also there as a friend and a counselor trying to teach us and guide us to our futures. While working off campus at pizza hut in Pleasantville, I had a hard time in school and wanted to take my GED to be done with high school. Richard tutored me through out the entire GED course and pushed me to study and complete my goal. I remember learning that Richard eventually got my passing certificate and either did not or could not let me know right away. He eventually surprised me with the great news that I had passed. I passed because of Richards dedication to helping out kids like me and his passion in doing what he loved doing. Richard had made a mark on my life and I spent my life as a civil servant for almost 28 years. I will always appreciate what Richard did for me and send my sincere condolences to his family.
