Obituary of Roseanne M Kilgannon

Roseanne M. Kilgannon of Somers, NY formerly of Yonkers, NY died Saturday, January 8, 2022 at home with family by her side. 

Roseanne was born on April 10, 1931 in New York City where she was raised by her devoted parents William and Philomena Ranaghan in the company of her loving siblings, May Lamb, Mena Nicholson, Margaret Moore and Colum, all predeceased. 

Roseanne was the beloved wife of William F. Kilgannon, who predeceased her in 2008 and the adoring mother of  Joanne Keeley, Mary Beth (Ken) Murphy and Bill (Tiffany). 

Nothing gave her more joy than the company of her grandchildren Jessica, Allison, Billy, Corey, Shayla, Lee Anne, Brendan and Ian for whom she could always be counted on to babysit at a moment’s notice. She continued to bestow the same strong love on her great-grandchildren Jase and Madeline, who she was always delighted to spend time with. She is survived by her brother-in-law Robert (Rena) Kilgannon and sister-in-law Gladys Parker as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Roseanne will be remembered as kind and compassionate; many knew her as an unwavering friend and attentive listener. She enjoyed traveling, beach days, tending to her many plants, and above all joyful family gatherings. She left those who love her with a treasure chest of fond memories.

The family will have a private viewing at Clarks Associates Funeral Home in Katonah on Friday January 14, 2022.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Rd. Somers, NY 10589 on Saturday January 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
