Obituary of Rosemary A. Bley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemary (Hanrahan) Bley of Brewster, NY. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 at the age of 76 after enduring a long illness.

Born August 18, 1945 at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland, Rosemary was the daughter of William Joseph Hanrahan and Mary Helen (Pennessi) Hanrahan. After a long and successful career at Reader's Digest, where she was a Production Manager, she enjoyed the past 20 years in retirement with family, friends and neighbors.

Rosemary was an avid skier in her younger years and enjoyed gardening and the company of friends, neighbors and their canine companions!

Rosemary was pre-deceased by her mother, Mary Helen (Pennessi) Hanrahan, her father William Joseph Hanrahan and her brother, Timothy John Hanrahan.

A wake will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd, Katonah, NY from 2-6pm on Sunday, January 30th, 2022.  

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, January 31, 2022 at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 31 Prospect Street, Brewster, NY with burial immediately following at St. Francis Cemetery 236 Lexington Avenue, Mt. Kisco, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brewster Fire Department or St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, in Brewster, NY.
