My Aunt Marie was laid to rest today, I want to thank Ron and everyone at Clark Funeral Home for helping arrange her last wishes. I hardly can believe she is gone but have some comfort knowing she had a very long full life that she lived on her terms and exactly as she wanted to. We spoke every evening, recapping our day and discussing all sorts of interesting topics. Aunt Marie outlived every member of her immediate family, including my Mom, her niece. She showed incredible courage when dealing with her many health issues and always replied she 'felt fine' but if I was sick she'd call to check up on me daily. I am so grateful to have cultivated such a strong connection with her since both my parents passings in 2016 & 2020, she was always ready to listen and offer advise on all the things I would normally call on my parents for, my Great Aunt Marie meant so much to my life, she was like a Mom and Grandma to me, I miss her deeply everyday.

I was a colleague of Marie in District 11 when she was the Principal of PS 87. After we both retired, we were active in the LoHud CSA Regional Unit. We attended meetings, luncheons and special events together. I will miss all of the good times that we shared and especially our conversations about opera. Rest In Peace dear friend. Mary Ann Alling

Marie was my sister's and my 5th grade teacher. We were so lucky to have this amazing woman for our teacher and friend. I had the pleasure of working with her at PS 41 where she was Assistant Principal. Marie became a good friend to my mom, Jo Straubinger. Marie will be missed.

Aunt Marie was always a charm to see in Florida and Plattsburgh. She had a way of saying things that were downright funny and slaps in the face at the same time. Jon and I miss Rosemarie, Walter and now Aunt Marie. Three of the most wonderful people we were able to call friends and so happy we were able to be a part of their lives. Rest In Peace Aunt Marie.

Marie was very good to my mom (Stella ) who took very good care of Marie, I finally got to meet Marie few years ago in NY, she welcomed my daughter Aleeah and me in her house. We had a lot of laughs and she shared some amazing stories of her pass. Thank you Marie for all that you done for my mom and becoming a good friend and letting her take care of you. Miss Ciaiola was my 5th grade teacher in PS 31, the Bronx from 1960-1961. I was very fortunate to have been in her class.She was a wonderful teacher and a loving person. She made me feel cared about and encouraged me to learn. She was at the top of my list of teachers who had a major influence on my life. I am grateful that my wife and I were able to visit with her in her home, take her to lunch and have her visit with us in our home. She made this world a better place. My condolences to the family.
