Obituary of Elizabeth J. Vuotto

Elizabeth J. Vuotto, (Betty) 92 of Katonah, NY, died Thursday, June 9, 2022 at her home.

Betty was born on October 18, 1929 in Mount Kisco, NY to the late James and Mabel Scallon of Katonah. 

Betty was a life-long resident of Katonah and was pre-deceased by her husband Edward J. Vuotto in 1980 and her brother James Scallon in 2014.  She is survived by her two loving daughters, Jacqueline Fresenius (Brian) of Patterson, NY and Barbara (John) Accardo of Danbury, CT, her niece, Patricia Marano (Dave) of Brewster, NY and her nephew, Bryan Scallon (Kathy) of Midland, VA.

Betty started her career at the New York Telephone Company as an operator and retired from the Katonah Village Library after 30 years as the bookkeeper.  Betty loved life, family, entertaining and was called “mom” by many.

Family and friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY on Tuesday, June 14 from 4-8 PM.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption RC Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY on Wednesday, June 15 at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery, 357 Route 202, Somers, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or The Wounded Warrior Project.
