Obituary of Dennis J. Crilly

Dennis J. Crilly, 80, of Somers, NY died Friday, June 17^th at home.

Dennis was born on April 9, 1942, to the late James and Sarah Crilly (nee Peoples) in Newark, NJ

He is survived by his loving wife Judith (nee Foczmanski), daughter Colleen Dean (nee Crilly) and her husband John, son Dennis and his fiancé, Stacey Aries and grandchildren Dennis Crilly, Chelsea Dean and Nicole Crilly. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Sarah, as well as his sister, Kathleen.

Dennis graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School and Seton Hall University with a degree in accounting. Five days after his college graduation, Dennis began his career at Texaco, Inc. where he proudly worked for over 35 years, retiring as Vice President, Human Resources Texaco Global Business.

Two months after graduating from Seton Hall, he married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Judi. During 57 years of marriage, they shared a wonderful life together; raising two children and welcoming the blessings of three grandchildren.

Dennis valued his faith and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was fortunate to travel to many places around the world and especially loved returning to Ireland, his parents’ homeland.  He was a volunteer with many organizations throughout his life. Dennis was active at his parish, St. Joseph’s, and with the Knights of Columbus, serving as Grand Knight for three years.

Friends and family may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY on Monday, June 20^th from 4pm – 8pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 96 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY on Tuesday, June 21^st at 11:30 am.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 357 Route 202 Somers, NY 10589.
