Obituary of John A. Vasile

John A. Vasile, 73, a resident of Bedford, NY, died peacefully on June 9, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2018. John was born in Manhattan to Charles and Concetta (née Maneri) Vasile. The family moved to the Bronx in 1959. He attended Mount St. Michael Academy, Fordham University, and Fordham University School of Law. He worked his entire career at McGovern, Connelly & Davidson in New Rochelle, becoming a partner in 1984. He dedicated his time and resources to various community organizations and his children’s schools. He was a gentleman and a gentle man, known for his generosity, kindness, honesty, and humor. His friends and family also delighted in his beautiful singing voice.

John is survived by his wife of 39 years, Anne (née Winterroth); his children, Andrew, Loretta, Claire (Christian) Benitez and Mary; his granddaughter, Mary; and his sister, Vivian Pepe. He also leaves behind extended family and many friends.

Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah, NY on Tuesday, June 13th from 2-4 and 6-8pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 7 Pound Ridge Rd, Bedford, NY 10506 on Wednesday, June 14th at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
