Obituary of Mina K. Nokes

Mina R. Nokes, 99 of Somers, NY passed away at Northern Westchester Hospital on June 26, 2023.

She was born in New York City: daughter of Abraham Wagner and Frances Vogel.

Formally a resident of Scarsdale, N.Y., White Plains, N.Y. and Banksville, N.Y.

Mina graduated Syracuse University, Columbia Social Work.

She married Lawrence Nokes on August 16, 1969.

Mina worked as a Social Worker for Westchester County and the White Plains Public Schools.

Mina was an avid equestrian and dog lover and did volunteer work for Literacy Volunteers.

Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah, N.Y. on Friday, June 30^th between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm and also 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm (914-232-3033).  There will be a service on Saturday at noon at the funeral home.

Interment will be private

In lieu of flowers contributions to White Plains Retired Teachers Scholarship Fund will be appreciated.
