Obituary of Frank T. Flora

 Frank T. Flora, 71, of Somers, NY formerly of Mount Vernon, NY died Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Northern Westchester Hospital after a long battle with dementia.

Frank was born on January 13, 1953, in Chiseldon, England to the late Concetta and Angelo Flora.  At the time of his birth, his father Angelo was stationed in Chiseldon while serving in the military.  Frank came to the United States as an infant with his parents.  He grew up in Mount Vernon, NY, where he met his future wife, Rosanne (DiFiore) Flora.

Frank was a graduate of Salesian High School in New Rochelle, NY.  He worked as a shift manager for Con Edison in Rye, NY, retiring in 2008 after 36 years of service.  He was largely involved with the Con Edison Retirees Club, and thoroughly enjoyed planning luncheons and spending time with his fellow retirees, who were great friends to him. 

Frank is survived by his beloved wife Rosanne (DiFiore)  Flora of Somers, NY.  They were married on September 22, 1974, and recently celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary.  He was predeceased by his beloved son, Frank, Jr. in 2004.  Frank is also survived by his daughter, Rachele (Christopher) DiChiaro of Saugerties, NY, and his grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends.

Frank was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.  He enjoyed cooking meals for his family and having large get togethers with everyone he loved.  Frank always looked forward to eating out at his favorite restaurants and traveling with his wife and family.  He would never turn down a good cup of coffee, and would never miss a call from someone that needed him.  Frank was a dedicated father and grandfather and spent as much time as he could with his children and grandchildren.  He is lovingly referred to as “PaPa.”

Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah, NY on Sunday, December 15^th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 95 Plum Brook Rd, Somers, NY, on Monday December 16^th at 11:30 AM. 

Burial will take place at a later date.
