Obituary of Cecilia McMorrow

McMorrow, Cecilia (Nee McManus) – 88 of Somers, NY formerly of the Bronx and Queens, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY

Cecilia was born on February 18, 1932 in Glenfarne, Co. Leitrim, Ireland, to the late Patrick and Anne McManus. She immigrated to the United States in 1954 at the age of 22 years.

Cecilia was the beloved wife of Michael (Joe) McMorrow and is the loving mother of Clare Castro (Joe) of White Plains, NY, Irene Morris (Frank) of Middletown, NJ and Susan Curran (Joe) of Somers, NY. She is the devoted grandmother of Nina and  Lily Castro, Michael, Kevin and Caitlin Morris, Tara, Julie, and Danny Curran.

She was predeceased by her siblings – Mary, Felix, Hannah, Denis, Bridget and Timothy and and is survived by her brother, Patrick. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews in the US, Ireland, and England.

Cecilia will be truly missed for her sense of humor, smile, and her ability to whistle a tune!

She made friends wherever she went.

The family will receive friends on Friday October 16th from 2-4 and 7 - 9pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 17th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY 10589. 

Interment will follow at St. Raymonds Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, NY 10470.
