Herb and I were newly married when we moved to Holland in 1965.There I met my “ perfect family “ ; Frank , tall , handsome and kind, Evon, elegant , kind and beautiful, and then 4 precious little girls !! I was smitten.
Our paths crossed again when we moved to CT. In 75. We were blessed to have many gatherings , wonderful meals at least one wedding ! Happy Days .
We moved to Virginia in ‘93 . Our yearly trek to Massachusetts , the first stop was always Fox Hollow , where the meals were always delicious, conversation, lively and the welcome always warm and wrapped in Love .
We will always love and miss you, Jacquie Gammons

Sending all my love and hugs to my cousins Melanie, Alex, Kim and Andrea and their families. I know Uncle Frank and Aunt Evon are together again. I will never forget Frank teaching my Dad, Kyle how to make maple syrup. Frank was so patient and kind. I loved going into his Sugar Shack! Love to all the people that loved him.
Love,
Dawn

Frank fox
I write on behalf of the Intergenerate Chicken Co-op at John Jay Homestead to send condolences to the Fox family on the passing of our wonderful friend Frank. He was a treasure to our group; always ready to make coop repairs, jigger our mechanicals, mentor a new member, reset the fences, bring warm oatmeal to hens on a frigid morning, help prepare the coops for an imminent storm, help shovel and clean up after the storm, and all this at 80+ years of age. Frank made solid connections within our group; he was an extraordinarily deep and worldly person who quietly shared his many life experiences. Frank truly appreciated the “simplest” things in life: the natural world around him, family & friends, his community, plants (especially maple trees), chickens & eggs, his beautiful home and woodland gardens. Frank was a hunter and fisherman, and yet helped an orphaned baby bird grow and thrive outside his kitchen window. Frank was a true gentleman, a mensch; always a giver, never a taker. His memory is a blessing to all who knew him.
With love from Jenny Weisburger and the membership of the Intergenerate Chicken Co-op

Frank's father met my father, Jack Moody, when Frank Sr. was visiting the Spear O Ranch in Montana scouting for polo ponies. Because of their mutual fondness for each other, Frank Sr. arranged for his son, Frank, to spend some time with our family on the Rosebud in Montana. Frank was 16 and I was four years old.
From the time Frank finished college, throughout his adult life, our families have remained in contact and shared time together. For over 70 years our memories of Frank include fishing, pheasant hunting, elk hunting and horseback riding in the Big Horn Mountains near Sheridan, Wyoming. I so enjoyed the time I spent with them in New York in their beautiful home and getting an advanced education in the production of "Fox's Fantastic Maple Syrup."
It has been my cherished pleasure to know Frank and Evon, as well as Andrea, Allie, Kimberly, Melanie, and their families.

My father John Fox, cousin of Frank, my son Harrison and wife Kristina had the opportunity to visit with Frank, spend time together, and see his amazing maple syrup set up. It was a great day to have 3 generations together and we cherish the memory. Our sincere condolences from this entire extended family.

Sending my love and condolences to the entire Fox family on the loss of their beloved father/Poppy/great grandfather. It has been my pleasure to be a friend to his daughter Kimberly for the past fifteen years and to witness the tremendous love and devotion she and her entire family had and have for Frank. If a measure of a person is the love of their family, he was truly a giant of a man. In the years since Mrs. Fox passed away, each of his amazing daughters maintained a steady, loving presence in his life to sustain him and provide him with the care and support he needed. I have abiding respect for them, and deep sorrow for the loss of their dad.

Dad helped me care for Bertie, a little cardinal who fell from her nest. She was adopted by the cardinals at 225 and learned to go about her wild business, but showed up on the patio for meals and visits with Dad until just after Thanksgiving in 2018. We liked to think Bertie found her feathered fella.
