Joe touched so many hearts and soles. Joe was and always will be an integral part of the Longo family. In a large extended family like ours Joe was always shining bright. He was one of the people I was hoping would be there in the hundreds of family gatherings we had over the years. Everyone loved his spirit and warmth and of course his talents in music which he shared with everyone countless times. What a true gem of a person and testament to that are his terrific wife and kids. Joe you will be so missed and we will always cherish memories and keep you in our thoughts. Your cousin Alan Longo

I met Joe in 1971 after teaching myself how to play guitar.
So Rockwell Delta was the first band I joined in my 18 years of living in N.Y.C. But Joe and Jack became my family in N.Y.C.
We sang together on and off from 1971 until 1984. So we grew up together in those years. I was really blessed to learn via Facebook that Joe, like myself, was in the worship team at his church . We had soo much fun in the band. They were truly blessed times. I was also blessed to meet Roberta and to learn of the birth of their children. I find great refuge in knowing that Jesus is preparing a place for us that includes Joe !! R.I.P. my brother !!!

I met Joe back in the early 70s. I was just starting to play drums and Joe saw me playing at a block party. We eventually ended up being bandmates. The name of our band was Rockwell Delta. It was a fun band. Great bunch of guys. An important part of my drumming development. We were all pretty tight friends. Lots of good times together. I reconnected with Joe on Facebook a while back and was so happy he was still involved in music. And what a beautiful family he now had. No surprise to me that Joe was doing very well for himself. He always had a good head on his shoulders. Extremely saddened to hear of his passing. Joe was truly one of the good ones. R.I.P. brother.

Joe with cousin Dan Killourhy at the Cliffs of Moher, Co. Clare Ireland (October 2018).
I was so happy to go with Joe on his first trip to Ireland so he could see where his mother Ellen was from. Great memories. All the Killourhys and his many other cousins, the Shannons, the O'Connors and the Fitzpatricks will miss him as will his cousins in England.
